Explore the vastness of the creation with Apologia. This Charlotte-Mason-inspired guide that connects science to our creator will keep kids interested and engaged for each lesson!  Science Class at Discovery is all about learning labs, where students participate in a memorable lab experience each week, reinforcing chapter comprehension that will help your child understand, learn, and remember!

Students will discover the fascinating stories and events that shaped this era. We’ll hear poems and songs, learn dances and games, and see pictures of them and their treasures.  We’ll learn about the famous, and not-so-famous, people and places that shaped our world.

Writing, grades 1-8

This class is dedicated to bringing enjoyment to a subject that is often misunderstood.  Based on the wonderful books read in the World History-themed classes, the students will write about them in the most entertaining ways.  From creating dioramas to writing plays, to becoming their favorite character, they will have a reason to write.  We’ll make it fun and we’ll help them to sharpen their skills.  No matter if your child is an experienced writer or a beginner, this class will give them a reason to want to put their thoughts into words.

This class will follow the current year’s History theme.

STEM, grades 1-8

STEM teaches hands-on learning through science, technology, engineering, and math.  Whether using Legos, wind, tangrams, water, sand, blocks, cords, pvc, or a host of other materials, the students will be encouraged to think outside the box.  Working alone and in groups, they will build and solve problems of all sizes.  This class is problem-solving at its best!
